I heard a version of this song (by Fonda Rae....been hearing Cathy Dennis for years) and I gotta say that I didn't like it.

Is this the "remix for breakdancing"? smile I like this a lot, but Fonda Rae's cut will always be "Over Like Fat Rat". It was one of the first "new oldies" I found on the Strobe....which is gone now!

Yeah that's the breakdancing cut. The remix version outdoes every other version.

Love this tune ! I used to listen to it when I was a teenager. My vinyl record looked a little bit different though, I guess it was released on another label as well.Ahhhhh, my disco days.

She has alot of stuff out there. She worked with Leroy Burgess throughout the 70s and 80s. I'll be posting more of their stuff together in my Leroy Burgess thread wink

Song is cool.

But thanks to Nightmare on Elm St 2-Freddys revenge, i can never listen to that song again without picturing that fool dancing like some cardboard stiff clown!!

I've once took up voice classes with her in the eighties. She has a dynamic and professional voice.
