Britney on the cover of Rolling Stone

Not sure about the facial expression but it's nice to see her in a normal outfit.

She looks great. I'm happy for her.

Now if Jamie can just ease up on the lock-down ...Brit has to learn to be free and responsible. She can't be chained to Jamie (grand conservator extraordinaire) for the rest of her life.

Oh, Jesus Christ.

It just won't go away!!!

Just when I thought it was over, it continues.

It's just like a bad horror movie.

No matter how many times you shoot the monster in the head, it keeps coming!!!

May God have mercy on our souls!!!

Hide the women and children, lock up the Cheetos and Nyquil.

Britney's-a-comin'!!!

Like Madonna, Britney is more of a gay icon these days. I don't know when this started. All I know is back in 1999-2001 girls wanted to be her.
I guess after Britney became tragic all the drama queens with bad taste stuck to Britney.

I guess we have to accept that she won't go away in the near future. I NEVER would have guessed that ten years after 1999 she still would be out there.

I don't respect her as a person and artist though. She doesn't have much in her brain, doesn't write the "songs" (sounds would be a better description).

If you want the Madonna comparism... Madonna hit ten years after her first hit single a low... But she achieved much more than did Britney the years before and also she grew artistically.

Britney has been a gay icon from the beginning. Get over it.

Finally a non wanna-be-so-hot cover. Nice.

I lost respect for RS once they started putting Madonna on the cover.

You're right about Shitney.

Heh, no one asked for a lecture.

And like another poster said, she's always been a gay icon because of the dance pop music. I believe she's performed at various gay clubs too.

Why would you come into a thread about her then?

And the yes she can is a take on the Obama phrase, appropriate since, like another posted said, she was being taken to the mental ward just this January.
