i guess it just seems like more and more, stuff that has the "indie rock" sound has some tie-in with a major label. it's ironic and makes my head spin.

i guess leslie hall's "cewebrity" is my favorite indie rock album of the year, since she more or less created and distributed the thing independently.

also, david byrne & brian eno's album was self-released and it was pretty damn good as well.

does Beck still count as indie rock?
