They shelled out big bucks to see their idol perform. Madonna Plays Philips Arena; Fans Spend $900 On The Night Madonna has sold over 200 million records worldwide, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year and Guinness World Records ranks her as the most successful female artist of all time. She released her original album 25 years ago. Twenty-five years later, she has millions of fans across the globe.
