How Do U?......iTunes I love the iTunes program and the ability to sort my music like I've always dreamed of. I like that I can customize my genre settings, etc. I like to keep it nice a tidy and not have too many genres. I like the grouping function. I can easily ID album, such as Blue Note,
Impulse, Prince (related), Jazz Vocal, Fusion, Funk, Soft Rock, etc..etc…and so on. As for compilations, I like to match the album and the tracks they came from and post the correct year they were released. I'm particularly anal about entering the correct year. I can grab a year of music at a time and emerge myself in that time period for a few days or a week. That’s the coolest thing ever and I can go to my happy place! A lot of times, I tunes/Database are all wrong about the info given to a particular music release. Are you particular about the info that goes in? [Edited 11/24/08 17:47pm]

That information is pulled from the Gracenote site (formerly CDDB), which gets all its info from user input. I always correct the info to my liking. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

When I pop a CD in to rip and the information is wrong, it really pisses me off. |
