No one loves El and the Debarges more than I do, but that was not a good look for El. For one, that is not his style of RnB and his and Charlie's voices ( and I love me some Charlie Wilson), don't mesh well. El seemed out of his element up there and this is not a man with a small amount of talent.

Timmy84	I love DeBarge but I don't think they've could've handled "Yearning for Your Love" better than Charlie and 'em.

El couldn't. His voice is too pretty. Charlie has a rougher edge and voice. Chico could do it.

Hate to bring it up but Charlie got down with the nose-candy like El too, those two could probably tell us a lot of stories about some of the acts from back then.
