Soulive drummer Alan Evans sent this to me today.

Not directly related to music (but what else is new ).
It's a story that involves the father of Soulive's Alan & Neal Evans.

Willie Evans was a member of the 1958 University of Buffalo football team.
Their record earned them an invitation to face Florida State University in the Tangerine Bowl.

However there was one caveat.
The 2 Black players (Willie Evans & Mike Wilson) on the U of B team would not be allowed to play.
To their credit, the other team players unanimously decided not to accept the invitation.
