My Lunch Hour Vinyl Dig

My brother told me about a flea market in which he saw some vinyl records. I went there on my lunch hour and here is what I came back with:

Graham Central Station - Star Walk

Brick - Brick

The Rose Brothers - The Rose Brothers (local group)

Pleasure - Joyous (I've never heard anything on this album but if it is anything like their jam "Glide", it should be pretty good.)

I'm still at work so I haven't listened to them yet. I found two albums that I have been seeking for a long time but I am disappointed because they are in such horrible condition. On some of the tracks, you can see visible scratches. However, sometimes looks can be deceiving and they only cost one dollar each so I figured I'd take a chance. Hell, two of the albums weren't even in covers. I dug through the boxes and took two 12 Inch singles out of their covers and put the albums I wanted into them. lol

I said I just returned from a flea market. If I had come back with those two albums, I would have been returning from a mental institution. lol

Does that Brick album contain the songs "Happy" and "Ain't Gonna Hurt Nobody"? From 1977? That's the album I want by them.

I recently bought a sealed copy of Pleasure's 1979 'Future Now' album. This is the album with "Glide".Let me know if the 'Joyous' album is any good.

Joyous is Sampled heavily on "Freexone" Janet - Velvet Rope
It's damn near the whole song.

nod Brick - Brick '77 LP is of such.

Ya' know, when I first heard India Arie "Video"; I was like this songs guitar riff sounds very familiar, but I couldn't place were I heard it. One day I played the Brick ~ Brick LP and the song Fun came on, and I was like nod India Arie's song "Video" uses samples of Bricks ~ Fun.
..Brick ~ Brick is the LP to get.

Yep, that's the one. It also includes the jams "Dusic" and "We Don't Wanna Sit Down, We Wanna Get Down". Great album.

I like the title track but thought the rest of the album was so-so.
