Is the new David Cook album any good? I heard snippets of the songs today.
I thought he sounded like Puddle of Mud or any number of post-Nirvana wanna-be bands in the 90s. But his voice was better than most. The songs just sounded so .... stupid. Did anyone hear the album yet? What where your thoughts? I don't know about his music, but it'd be kind of cool to flip him over on his stomach and go to town in the worst way.

I liked him (and Archuletta) on AI, but my attention span has moved on and I have 0 interest in either of them now.

I downloaded it, but haven't had a chance to listen to it. I really like the first single. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

OK , I finally listened to it.
For a pop album, it's pretty strong. It sounds a lot like a Light House record. At times, he sounds almost identical to the lead singer of Light House. The main differences is his voice handles subtle notes a lot better and is overall better trained. The songs are incidental and complete generic crap. . But his voice is great. Deep and sexy. . Actually I bought this, and I really like it. It may be generic, but the songs are catchy. That's all I care about.
