I was jammin this last Friday on the way home.. It is one of my favorites from them.

I listened to their greatest hits, yesterday on the way home from work.

I like this track but my all time favorite by them is, "I just want to be"... It has this Parliment vibe to it. For a long time I DID think that it was Parliment Funkadelic that did it.

It's OK but it ain't near as strong as their earlier stuff.

That's true. I think the Word Up album is a good "transition" album for them. They managed to stay current at the time and keep the funk.

I loved the track "Word Up" but "Back and Forth" and "Candy" were kinda bland.

I can understand why... it has that slower R&B sound to it whereas "Word Up" and "Shake Yo Pants" were funk.

Exactly. I bought the 12 Inch of the song "Word Up". After hearing the second single on the radio, I didn't bother buying the album.
