Shania Twain in 3 flavors

The new Shania Twain album will be available in 3 versions.

Country.
Pop.
Worldbeat.

In the US, the country and pop versions will be avialable, and internationally the pop and worldbeat versions will be available.

What do you think about all of this?

I like it. I might actually buy the pop or worldbeat versions. All that twangy steel-guitar is what has kept me from enjoying the album versions of her songs in the past.

Though if she were to release a traditional country version, rather than a "new" country version, that would probably be the one I'd be most likely to buy.

The U.S. version is being sold as a two disc set so you get the country and pop versions together not seperate.

Maybe this is blasphemous being a canadian, but Shania is a puppet. Her music is boring and so is she. Did anyone catch her performance at the Grey Cup? She lip synced all of it. Pathetic!! Why do so many people get fooled by someone's looks?? Beautiful, does not mean you can automatically sing or have any talent.

Shania's cd is better than Mariah's new one. I think its cool to hear her say that her influences were Dolly Parton and Stevie Wonder. And getting two cds for $9.98 is a gem. She wrote all the tracks. Go 'head Shania. Most all of the tracks are good and the two genres is something new and good marketing

Anything could be better than the drivel Mariah puts out, but Shania's music is just as sappy and meaningless.

I bought into the hype before I even found it came out as a two disc set. Too be honest, they don't differ that much. They are both quite good but the writing is kind of weak and the arrangements aren't half as catchy as the ones from "Come ON Over' (I don't have that album but am judging from the singles). I've heard a few mixes from the "World" album and its kind of a joke. Its just big drum beats meant to sound Eastern over the pop verisons. Kind of sad. The whole thing smacks of gimicky. She should have just released the pop album and told the coutnry people to suck it! The Country disc doesn't sound very honest. The pop album sounds more like her. They are kind of coutnry songs but with a pop sound. I'm tried and don't know what I'm saying anymore!
