Kewl song.
Everybody's hair was hitting hard in the performance. Back when it safe for a fellow to sing high. "The first time I saw the cover of Dirty Mind in the early 80s I thought, 'Is this some drag queen ripping on Freddie Prinze?'" - Some guy on The Gear Page

This was back in 86 and I remember this even though I was a kid cause it seemed like that year El or Debarge was on Solid Gold every week. That is when Motown was positioning him to be a solo star "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

I'm not kidding. Motown was serious with that EL solo shit. El and Debarge were everywhere in 86-at least the spring of 86 "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

Yeah, the cut "I'll be there" was off Loggins's 1985 album "vox humama". El and Bunny did backing vox on the studio version.
El also did backing vocals on a Kenny Rogers track called "your my love", written by Prince of all people. I imagine El is on it as both he and Rogers were working with producer Jay Graydon around that time. Shame the track ain't up to much.

How the hell did El and Bunny hook up with Kenny Loggins? "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."
