It's OK. It's from the 2nd "Breakin'" soundtrack. Other great tracks on that album are "Din Da Da", "ICU", and "The Radiotron".

The first 'Breakin' movie is cool but come on....the sequel is terrible! lol Weak storyline. It's really just a bunch of kids prancing around, thinking that they're doing something...lol...that musical number in the hospital is atrocious! disbelief

The only good thing about 'Breakin 2' is the theme song by Ollie and Jerry lol

btw,'Beat Street' kills BOTH of these movies!

I agree with you about the preference for Beat Street, but being from NY it's only natural that movie would appeal to me more. The Breakin' films were very west coast--more lighthearted and fun like west coast hip hop was at the time before NWA came on the scene.

To me,'Beat Street' is a classic compared to the 'Breakin' films lol 'Beat Street' seems more genuine, with a stronger story and better acting. The 'Breakin' films are very amateur-ish,although the first one is alot of fun.

I remember in 1984,I was surprised at how quickly 'Breakin 2' came out.The first 'Breakin' movie came out in spring 1984 (around May,if I'm not mistaken). The sequel was in theatres by December of that same year! lol It's obvious that they didn't spend much time on it at all. They just threw together a bunch of kids in neon-colored clothes,a weak storyline and said "Here's the movie",lol.I bet it only took a few weeks to film it.

I used to have both of those as well as the first Beat Street soundtrack on vinyl (never bought the second Beat Street album), then I sold them all on ebay during the great record purge. I should have saved them for you. smile

I still have both of these on vinyl. cool I'm still mad about the first sndtk though. They gave us a crappy version of "Reckless" and left off "Tour de France" and "Beatbox".

Yeah,I can't believe that they left "Tour De Force" off the 'Breakin' soundtrack! That makes no sense. The song plays a pivotal role in the film.I was hoping to find it on the soundtrack.

I wonder how come neither volume includes ""IOU" by Freeze, which is heard in the movie during one of the nightclub scenes.

The first "Breakin" movie was a classic but it was corny as hell. I bought the DVD strictly because it's a classic. As for "Breakin' 2", I saw that one once in the theater and that was enough for me. Absolutely horrible. lol

That first "Breakin'" is pretty corny also. And did you see that black queen from the music class prancing around in those damn leotards and leg warmers? Oh hell naw! I think I saw him actually skip in the movie a few times. lol

btw,'Beat Street' kills BOTH of these movies!

"Beat Street" is definately much better but it has it's corny moments also. lol

LOL! the guy with the leotard was a true queen, he was far too ahead of the game at that point,
i don't people had discovered the gay breakers at that time,
lol
the black queen and ice t in the same movie,
hilarious!

oh yeah.

the best song from the second breakin movie is nowhere to be found.
its called "ACTION", a great song, never released in any format.

bastards! they better release it eventually!

Wow I didn't know there was such disdain for "Breakin' 2." lol I LOVE that movie and Turbo dancing on the rooftop is the best! I also can't get enough of "Din Da Da" and "I Believe In The Beat." Those songs and the movie just takes me back to my childhood, good memories. "Beat Street" is a favorite of mine too. I remember watching it as a child and being almost traumatized when the latino dude got electricuted on the subway. So sad. sad Those were some of the best films ever, corny moments and all, along with "Krush Groove" and "The Last Dragon." They don't make movies like those anymore. confused
