Anyone with any observational skills would know he was obsessed with old showbiz legends and meeting Elvis's daughter fits right in with that. He only wanted to marry her after he got accused of abuse. As Lisa said, she then got "sucked into his PR machine".

Why would he have any concept of gay folk or even heterosexual sex? think about his upbringing (JW's and the like, he was really devout) and who he was around.
