It's the oldest cliche in the book, but Lisa couldn't see it. This is why she's so embarrassed now. She's embarrassed by her own naivety. The embarrassment is pretty plain to see in that clip you posted. She's in a classic "What the fuck was I thinking?" situation.
I don´t think she´s embarressed by her own naivity. She can´t be embarrased and not regret at the same time. She said that she does not regret that marrieage.She´s embarrassed because that´s the way everyoone is trying to make her feel. Did you see Diane´s face when she said "why did you marry MJ?". Larry King told her "how do you explain that MJ thing. Explain that to me like to a little child." Everyone is trying to maker her feel like an idiot for marrying him. First of all, get my name right. It's midnightmover. Secondly, the fact that you're even asking this question shows you are probably lacking life experience. Lisa loved Michael, and was devastated by the split. When a person's in love it's common for them to have a hard time accepting it's really over. They often hang around a while in desperate hopes of trying to get back what they think they had. Notice how it was her sniffing around him, not the other way around. She was the genuine one from the start. He was the user. I don´t understand how one can be intoxicated by someone´s history when you know nothing about them. Right, you sound like Priscilla who claimed that MJ built Neverland because Elvis had Graceland. Once again, you're blinding yourself. If you read this quote you can see that Lisa is in two minds. She says that she was young and couldn't see her mother's point (saying "I was young" always indicates that you weren't as wise then as you are now). She says "I don't know". And immediately after she says "I know he loved me" she says "as much as he can love someone, I think he did". You have conveniently ignored that. Bare in mind that she described herself elsewhere as "deluded" and "naive as hell" in her dealings with MJ, it would take monumental stupidity to not see what's going on here. She knows she was used but there's still some part of her that doesn't want to believe it. But it's clear which way she's leaning. Clear to anyone with an ounce of sense, anyway. Also bare in mind that she's still trying not to bad-mouth Michael too much and you can understand why she contradicts herself and hesitates whenever she talks about this subject. But one thing that never changes is the "What was I thinking?" tone. About the Elvis thing you've totally missed the point. It doesn't matter that Mike wasn't influenced by Elvis. He wasn't influenced by Katherine Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor or Jane Fonda either. I made a point of stressing that he knew nothing about their work. He never even saw any of their films. In that context it makes sense that he would want to meet Elvis' daughter too. Elvis was an entertainment legend and a figure of huge importance in the history of entertainment. So it's naive to assume that he wanted to meet her for romantic reasons. He's shown no romantic interest in women before or since.
