What I don't get is Lisa Marie. She had constantly stated in interviews (even after she left him) that he wasn't gay. Brooke Shields said the same thing. And I´ve heard about many stories of MJ flirting with women. There have been just too many stories about MJ that it is possible to make him anything. But I think he´s straight. If you watch for instance the NY signing, you can tell that he responds only to two types of people - women and children. When a child came up to him, he turned into a child himself. When a women came, he became all flirty, even asking for phone numbers:

Ok I know Taraborelli is a gossip seeking little scamp and a slimy little queen to some people, but hes got journalistic clout, and for sometime it seems him and Michael had a bit of an understanding, but its the only real big biography of Michael now, there are no real objective pop star bio writers out there, I mean aren't Kitty Kelly, Alex Hahn and Christopher Anderson just as bad. I mean we don't have a Per Nilsen like biographer like Prince does, mainly as MJ's career doesn't really attract some of the more hi brow following like Prince has. Ok Michael is the king of pop and his songs are astoundlingly catchy and funky and satisfying, but they are not high art, this not Miles Davis or Coltrane or the musings of musical genius. Michael is a performer, great dancer and singer but he is not a Mozart like Prince is. And this is why Prince may be sick of being compared to him. If MJ is James Brown, Prince is Miles Davis or Herbie Hancock if u get what I mean. Whereas MJ is the consummate popstar hes not really a musician like Prince is, hence you will only get gossip seeking scamps like Taraborrelli writing about him. Well Taraboelli... I found his Madonna biography boring as hell. It was all about gossip, and only like 10 percent were about the music.
The same goes with MJs biography but I'd still say he didn't invent the stuff himself. As said before, he might have asked suggestive questions to the sources to make them say things Randy wants to hear. He certainly isn'T objective and has allready an image in his mind. | |
