Sure, MJ must have some high expenses: Neverland, lawyers and the lot, but damn he must have some revenue coming in? How can this man be in difficult financial straits? That sums giving by the sheik should be pocket money to MJ. Doesn't he have some back up plan? You know, a few millions stashed away when all falls down. Then live on a island somewhere. Damn.

Btw, reading between the lines: the sheik and MJ were lovers right?

These days,I think Michael is living off royalties and the lucrative Beatles catalog that he co-owns with Sony. It's shocking that he apparently didn't save some of the MILLIONS that he made in the 80s!

He has investments, thought the Beetles collection that he owns was compromised to some extent in a record deal.

And it's very easy for a recording artist to be in more debt than the money they earn. Just because MJ slapped some self-riotous "King of Pop" title, doesn't mean he knows how to balance his record books.

And he hates to tour--he admitted it himself. That's the quickest way to generate revenue. Many recording artists are practically giving their albums away as advertisement for their tours.

The real question is how he's gonna dig himself out of this mess. I seriously doubt he'll have another hit anywhere near the scale of Thriller or Bad.

Dare I say it, he could probably earn more money doing Vegas for a year or so. Those shows would certain sell out.

Yeah and mainly the "Thriller 25" success doesn't go directly to MJ's accounts since Sony still owns the masters to the original material on the album. MJ gets a cut tho but it's not enough.
