I think so. He's not as heralded as, say, LL COOL J [who he had a rivalry with], Rakim, RUN-DMC or even someone like Rick Rubin when it comes to talking about hip hop's Golden Era.

He's a true hip-hop pioneer -- one of not that many to have a successful, sustained career.

Moe Deweese Aka Moe dee of the treacherous 3 is a hip hop pioneer who battled and won against the great Busy bee. That was his proving ground right there. even though he was down with a top crew. back then you had to battle and free bomb at that.

I loved rap/hip-hop back in the day more because they actually recorded original music and didn't heavily rely on samples (for the most part). Moe Dee was definitely one who had original trax. "Wild Wild West" is my JAM!!

I love his Treacherous Three (Enjoy! and Sugarhill) and really early solo (still Sugarhill and the first 2 LPs on Jive) recordings.

And his appearance on Grafitti Rock..
