I believe you. I just found it funny the way Alex put it out there.

Sorry, that was my fault. I probably should've added a wink on the end. I was just giving Mike a good-natured ribbing. Sorry. sad

Don't worry mate!

I tend to overact.

I think you're right. eek

I thought he was gnashing on something.

How high is he??

Dennis was on crack cocaine at the time of this video. He's clean now but he was really fucked up back then.

The song is so-so too.

It would've been at least more intersting had Chaka Khan been singing in front of Dennis(who was the 1st female choice to be in the song if it weren't for dumb ass leeching Warner Bros).

lol Well, Chaka didn't sing, Siedah did, Warner Bros. got their wish and the song is what it is. I like it and love the soul pouring out of both Dennis and Siedah. Not to mention, the track that went on to spawn many platinum hip hop hits.

This is the real hit version. Tupac's was a retaliation against BIG and the Bad Boy family.

Well like the 90's killed Rock, the 90's also killed RB. In RB's case it was the merger of Rap and RB, U know the shit that Mariah did with her remixes? and Puffy did and then Mary J did with Method Man, that was the writing on the wall.

He helped them "sell" so in that respect he did help, but the cred of the artisty is gone, but he is not alone in this blame, Mariah is right up there too with her cashing in on the whole "remix" crap.

You DO know Puffy produced the "Fantasy" remix, right? Though it's understandable Mariah WANTED ODB (RIP) on the track tho. Puffy has a lot, if not all to do, with the destruction of commercial rhythm and blues in the nineties.

he had alot of help with the demise of RB. Once it became a seller, everyone wanted a remix, so they ran to him to "sell", i mean he is to blame for being the "dealer" but the crackheads that ran to him have to share the blame, so Mary J and Mariah and a truck load of others have to get blame.

When it come to the death of rhythm & blues AND Soul, I'm very sure there is room for blame to go around (the downfall of Stax Records, the downfall & buyout of Motown Records, the solo debut of Whitney Houston, the over-usage of the Yamaha DX7/Roland D-50/Korg M1 to replace electric pianos/organs/strings/horns, Teddy Pendergrass' passion for transsexuals, the rise of hip-hop & rap, the death of Luther Vandross, the death of Barry White, etc.).

Yeah, you can say that again, a lot of things had to do with that music's downfall though in some kind of way GREAT R&B is still breathing if not promoted as it used to be.

Luther and Barry both died after the "death of soul" so I wouldn't put them in the mix. The truth is there still is some soul out there, Erykah, D'Angelo, Maxwell even Seal but I guess they have a fear of flooding the market with good music as they only release albums once every seven years.

P.S. Oh and I'm sorry, India.Arie.
