The title of this thread is misleading... those shows were never rescheduled (postponed)
Still I'm sad for those who didn't get a chance to see the show.. saw it twice and wished all of her fans could have enjoyed the show

It seems that once again Janet is not being honest with the public. Many of us were sceptical about the vertigo story, and this only makes the whole thing look even more shady. I definitely have to rank her as the most untrustworthy pop star out there (I don't count her brother cus he ain't even in the game no more).

yeah the sick thing never flew with me. Kylie came right out and said she had cancer, when she postponed her tour. Than came back with an even better show to make it up to her fans. Than after she extended it she got sick with the flu, played half a show than stood on stage and told her fans she was ill and rescheduled that show and 3 others. That's right Kylie herself told fans at the show she was sick.

i know Josh will disagree with me, but when Janet got "sick" it was very shady.

Cyndi just did a gig in Amsterdam while she was clearly suffering with a cold. She was coughing between songs and her voice was cracking in parts, but she still did the gig and left the audience happy. The only thing Janet was suffering from was a bruised ego caused by empty seats.

Man some artists back in the '70s and '80s that were on drugs never canceled concerts, they usually rescheduled whenever they were ill and performed no matter what.

Janet went on the wrong foot with her schedule. Her 42-year-old butt can't handle a strenuous tour the way her body reacts to it.

Dude, it's got nothing to do with the schedule. If that was the problem then rescheduling the dates would be the simple solution. The fact that she's cancelled them tells you there's something else going on. Clearly, Janet is not telling the public the real story. These Jacksons have just been raised to lie, lie, lie, and then lie some more.

Here we go again.Every few days,we hear about another cancellation or postponement...or an illness...or a rescheduled date...or poor ticket sales, etc.Like I said in another thread,Janet should just hurry up and film one of the shows for a DVD release. That's the only way that many of her fans are gonna be able to see this show!

Thats it in a nutshell, i mean dont get me wrong, talented family, amazing performers and great music through the years, but have mastered the media with lies over and over, that even if something is true, they have gone so far with lies that no one buys it.

Elton John for example, he was saying in an interview, that he always said he wouldnt let drinking and drugs get into his concerts, but that slogan went out the window in the 80's with him, he went night after night world tour after world tour, drunk, high on coke, he said he once played a 19minute version of "rocket man" because he forget how to end it, but the rest of the band was high so they couldnt tell either.

But all these cancellations are not cool, whether you are a Jackson or if you are Joe Schmo starrting out in the business. It leaves a bad taste in peoples mouths, and whether its truth or a lie, fans im sure lost money somewhere because of it, and like it or not, you have to find a way to make amends.

That's cos Kylie cares - mainly just for having a spectacular but still stripped down 100% live show. Could you imagine Janet falling sick in the middle of a show and making a speech, pulling herself together to do a sweet impromptu acapella of an old loved hit she hadn't sung in over a decade? Not without a mic turned on or a real band lol

Anyway, us Europeans were used to it with Janet. I mean she was the ONLY person who cancelled her tour due to 9/11 in 2001 without re-scheduling. She hasn't been back since 1998.

did you watch the Kylie vide? that's how you handle a situation. you don't wait two weeks and than say what was wrong.

I am not as big a Janet fan as some people on this board, but I do like her and respect her legacy as one of the foundations for modern dance/pop.

I hope this illustrates to everyone, including Janet, how far she has fallen. She needs to take some time to ask herself some hard questions, and work on getting her credibility back.

It's like people haven't heard of a refund before. I got my money back weeks ago after she postponed her Fort Lauderdale show. No biggie, I was really excited to finally get to see her, but she has her issues (whatever they may be), and I got a full refund that came in handy with my bills. I hope that she is able to get over whatever is ailing her. Once I heard vertigo, I knew then that the tour most likely wasn't going to be completed. Vertigo really isn't even comparable to a common cold, so why compare what she has to another entertainer who can just take a couple Tylenol Cold and Sinus tablets for temporary relief so she can perform for 2 hours? I know people who suffer from just migraines and getting through a day for them is excruciatingly painful even with prescription medications. I had a migraine once and wanted to bludgeon myself to get the pain to stop, so I can't imagine having a severe migraine and dizziness on a daily basis. People act like the Jacksons are the only public family in history to have secrets or as many like to refer to them as 'lies'. Some people should really read up on the Kennedys if they think the Jacksons are bad. lol

Why should the Jacksons, or any other public family for that matter, have to tell all their business...it's their business? It's not like she faked an injury or her death, she just said she's ill and released to the press that she has vertigo and was told to rest by a doctor. Since I'm pretty sure that nobody in this forum knows her personally to say she's making it up, I'm not going to judge her by calling her a 'liar'. It may be all made up, but at least she didn't come with that 'exhaustion' bullshit like so many celebrities tend to use. I guess she thought it would subside, but apparently it didn't so why should she push herself to do anything that could hurt her in the long run? All I know is that if I'm feeling like shit, I'm going to stay at home, which sucks for my boss because I'm the only person at my job who can perform my duties, but it's my health so he'll just have to accept my absence. wow im not a kylie fan (altho i am aussie so a casual fan by default), but that was great to watch that level of professionalism when she clearly couldn't go on that night.

she told the audience whats up and sang an extra song before leaving. Im sure the audience didn't leave with a high degree of disappointment that night.

Janet should take note of such honesty in front of your fanbase. If you are telling the truth you should be forgiven. (unless it is cuz of ticket sales)

Ha ha ha! I said weeks ago that it was down to poor ticket sales and various sad Janet fans lambasted me. It was a stupid, egotistical move to tour an album that flopped. I expect to see her getting her flaps out again for the paparazzi.
