Diana's is kinda "just okay"... Michael's was kick ass.

But remember, Michael didn't record it until he owned it! lol

I like how you can see Sean Lennon in this, too! Must have been cool to hear his Dad's music sung by the biggest star on the planet at the time...

Mike's version is funky, so I chose that one biggrin

Coachella and IndigO2 last year in London, but i disagree with SCNDLS, Prince's is slightly interesting, but that's all. I'd love to hear Prince do a studio version, but i don't trust him to mess up on covers.

I'd go with MJ's but not the HIStory version, there is a slightly extended version on one of the 'Jam' maxi singles, THAT is the one.

BTW the song from HIStory was actually recorded in '87. I love how it didn't sound dated even among the songs in History.

Right. It's the same version, but the one i was referring to has additional ad-libs on the fadeout, it's not much longer, but as they say, bigger is better! biggrin

MJ by far. Better than the original. Has more style to it and the instrumental is louder.

MJ hands down wins this.

probably one of the best cover versions ever made

he took the original beatles song, and turned into a funktastic shit hot classic.

it sounds awesome even today.

you never get sick of MJ's version.

and yeah its true.
he OWNED everyone on this track.
he owned the song, and tore the song a new ass hole.

and the video is the shit too. just watch our for that grace jones type woman who comes up on stage for a quick dance with MJ before being thrown off stage.

MJ WINS this time.
