Madonna's Sticky and Sweet Tour continues to be an enormous success.Billboard Boxscore has published the official and confirmed concert stats (grosses, attendance) for the recent North American concerts in New York City,Toronto,Chicago,Montreal,Vancouver,Oakland,Boston and East Rutherford.
These 16 North American concerts posted in Billboard Boxscore have grossed $45,878,544 and attracted an audience of 285,596 people.Added with the $116,029,569 in grosses and 939,990 people from the European leg of the tour, the tour has so far grossed an incredible $161,908,113 and played to an audience of 1,225,586 people. There are still at least 25 shows remaining to be reported to Billboard Boxscore.Although the tour is not over yet,it has already exceeded the 1,210,294 people that attended the Confessions Tour in 2006.This tour will easily outgross the solo artist record-breaking $194,754,447 Confessions tour gross. With one of the biggest worldwide selling albums of the year,a huge hit single, and a phenomenally successful tour,Madonna is still a colossally successful and relevent music star.

This is exactly why mj needs to come back, he could outdo those figures, not sure about now though I hope I'm proven wrong. I'm really happy for Madonna though and I was at the show as well and liked it.

Good for her. She’s one of the hardest working women in show business. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

according to the World music awards she's the biggest selling American Artist in the world
At the 20th annual World Music Awards held in Monaco, Monte Carlo last night, Madonna won an award for the best selling American artist worldwide this year. Madonna was not there to accept her award because she was busy performing her Sticky & Sweet Tour in Las Vegas this weekend. This World Music award is in recognition for Madonna's album Hard Candy having the highest global sales for an artist from the United States this year. Congratulations to Madonna! F.Y.I. Hard Candy is currently the 3rd best selling album worldwide this year. 2008's BEST SELLERS TO DATE (source: http://www.worldwidealbums.net/ ) Coldplay Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends 5.728.000 5.922.400 Duffy Rockferry 3.758.000 3.884.320 Madonna Hard Candy 3.094.500 3.206.180 Soundtrack Mamma Mia! 2.890.000 2.964.240 Lil Wayne Tha Carter III 2.889.000 2.990.240 Metallica Death Magnetic 2.857.000 2.857.000 Jack Johnson Sleep Through The Static 2.575.000 2.674.760 AC/DC Black Ice 2.453.000 2.453.000 Michael Jackson Thriller (25th Anniversary Reissue) 2.238.500 2.324.060 Mariah Carey E=MC2 1.844.500 1.916.020 You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

I really can’t even imagine Michael doing a tour such as this. Maybe it’s because he hasn’t done a world tour in 20 years or because I can’t imagine he’d be up to the demand. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

the demand is there. the question is whether he is healthy enough to do a tour. You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

Have the Australian shows been confirmed yet? I also heard that she wants to do a few shows in Japan, which would extend the tour until January.

Whatever... he has done a world tour 11 years ago, which hit more countries than he had ever hit before, including the US, and did spectacular business doing so!

For her, stadiums are harder to sellout but I heard she's been doing okay. Btw,when Isaw her in Oakland two weeks ago, both shows were completely soldout. There were even people sitting in the "obstructed view" seats in the highest level...almost behind the stage! She could have easily soldout a third show here in the Bay Area (which she actually did in 2004).
