Police say former American Idol contestant Paula Goodspeed had an "unnatural obsession" with Paula Abdul. According to TMZ, Goodspeed was the woman whose body was found dead in a car parked near Abdul's property.

1 The case is being investigated as a possible suicide.

2 The cause of death is suspected to be a drug overdose.

OH my goosh you won't believe what happened. My mom knows im a paula fan, anyways I guess she misinterpreted or misunderstood. But she called me and was like paula abdul committed suicide. and I was like what. and i yelled, So she came running over to me and i was crying so hard, oh my goosh tears were like rushing out my eyes like a faucet. I was so heart broken and shaken. I LOOOOOVE MISS PAULA. So i just was in disbelief and she told me to check it out online because she had just watched the news. anyways i read the story online and found out it was NOT paula. and I felt relieved and well kind of stupid

BUT IM SO THANKFUL PAULA IS OKAY, i feel bad for the fan. She probably loved paula as much as i do.

I heard on the radio how obsessed this fan was with Paula and that last year she tried the same thing, right in front of Paula's house. Unfortunately, this time she was successful. It's a shame she couldn't get help or either help didn't work since last year.

I think this is so sad.

I do not really like watching American Idol because I think the judges are mean for entertainment, sometimes.

And I know a lot of people go on to audition for their 15 minutes of fame, but there are some who I think are not very stable.

I know it is difficult... but I do not like watching AI for this reason.

I do not like watching So You Think You Can Dance either even though the judges are not quite as cruel. I really liked Lil C as a judge this past season. He is so cute.. and I love his witticisms. Here's is one I really liked:

"It is difficult to locate the avenue of gain when you're being chauffeured by loss."

I have this on my bulletin board at home! LOL I really liked him.

He was my favorite judge just because he seemed to offer constructive criticism and was so sweet. Plus I liked his artsy way of talking. I thought he was cute, too!

But I quit watching the show because.. I just do not like that most of judges are mean.

Jokes about Paula's music aside, Paula's content is not exactly the kind of stuff that drives someone to negative thinking.

The radio said this girl auditioned for American Idol in 2006 and didn't get in.

This girl--Miss Goodspeed--. she was not very good.. And Simon pointed out how Paula and Miss Goodspeed looked alike. And Miss Goodspeed said she was complimented by this comparison. Simon said he meant it as a compliment. Then after she finished singing, Simon had Paula criticize her immediately since Miss Goodspeed was one of Paula's fans. Paula said, she was "speechless" and "this was not a good thing."

Also.. during this audition.. the show did a little segment on how much this Miss Goodspeed loved Paula. Miss Goodspeed would draw beautiful pics of Paula. She was an excellent artist. It would have been nice if maybe Paula had the forethought to say, "Well singing might not be your thing, but you are a great artist." This is your gift, so this is what you should pursue." I guess Paula did not know of the beautifuls pictures her fan could draw. I think maybe she did not know.

I am not saying Paula was "cruel." I thought Simon was cruel actually.. I dunno.. It's like he was mean because he knew Miss Goodspeed really liked Paula so like a big bully he immediately set-up this bad situation. Oh... and Simon said something about Miss Goodspeed having a mouth full of metal. She had braces.

I just do not like these shows. I guess I am too soft-hearted.

I tried to look for it,but I think A.I. must have taken it down? It was being featured yesterday on various search sites.

I wonder how many contestants fall into this category. One thing is certain when you watch that show. Most of America is deluded. I can't sing for shit and I am Aretha Franklin compared to most of the folks who show up! At least I know my limitations when it comes to singing. Now this Paula Goodspeed--have you seen her drawings? They are very, very good. But her audition.. was horrible.. really. So like I said, it is too bad Paula did not know about her drawings or did not seem to know because maybe Paula could have gently nudged her in a better direction with a simple compliment, you know? Paula Goodspeed during the little "piece" before her audition she liked fashion. So with her talent for drawing and her love for fashion, maybe she could have been a very successful fashion designer?

But of course.. maybe this is not what she wanted hear anyway. Obviously, Paula Goodspeed had some problems.. so.

I just think there are all types who audition for these shows.. and some are really not very stable... but they audition so.

It just makes me feel uncomfortable when they are really slammed. You know like Paula Goodspeed was for wearing braces. She was a very pretty girl, but she wore braces and Simon really .. I dunno.. joked with her about that in a not very nice way..

I could never go into show business because I am too sensitive. I do not know why anybody would want to put themselves out there only to be humiliated.. but for it just rolls off, for others maybe not.

That's scary and sad!

We all have our weak moments, some off us aren't strong soul and use suicide as away to escape our life.

Some have things that hold them to life (i have music and my fear of dying...), but clearly she did not have something to hold her.
