Her voice hasn't been the same since the 1980s. Of course she would have trouble considering the things she had to survive including alcoholism, chain smoking and being overweight. So of course she's gonna strain to hit the soprano vocals that she's known for. She still sounds decent though.

Even with all my jokes on her, she has my respect as a musician.

The performance is not that bad, it was decent.

I don't get the criticism. She sounds like Aretha to me. I've been digging it for a few days. I saved the performance in HD when it was broadcast. Maybe it's the crappy youtube quality.

She sounds the same to me also.

Her voice has certainly aged, but she still can flat foot sing.

She sounds friggin great! I am not a big Aretha fan but her version of Hark The Herald Angels Sing is amazing.

Shes old and tired but she still deserves RESPECT
