Britney & Justin with Madonna onstage! (updated)

If there's one thing we can count on from Madonna, it's the making of a little music history now and again.
Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake will be performing alongside the Material Girl Thursday when her Sticky & Sweet tour touches down at Dodger Stadium, E! News' Ryan Seacrest has learned.
'They are going to be onstage performing with Madonna,' Seacrest said on KIIS-FM host DJ BoyToy Jesse's Wednesday-afternoon show.
Of course, while Timberlake and Spears have both collaborated with Madge individually, the exes haven't been spending much quality time together in recent years.
'If Justin and Britney end up on that stage with her....I don't know if I've ever seen anything quite like that before,' Seacrest said.
Seacrest said that he should have more details on his KIIS morning show tomorrow: 'Expect some real serious surprises.'

i think its pathetic how she has been using other peoples' success and notoriety to boost her own. once upon a time madonna set the trends and she made others famous. now she latches on to successful people to remain relevant.

disappointing turn of events.

I guess Britney's dad approved this since he just was given permanent conservatorship of her personal and professional affairs...maybe he can join them onstage. Side note: I like Madonna's hair. She's cute with the bangs.

I'm as big of a Madonna fan as the next guy, but I don't really think that's what Sassy is getting at.

What's sad to me is that she couldn't keep her own marriage together, yet she's using perhaps the 2 most famous estranged exes in recent years aside from Bennifer and Brad&Jen to draw attention to her own show. And she said the stunt that VH1 pulled in '95 when they pulled Sean Penn onstage was low. I'm sure both parties agreed to it, but it still stinks of desperation for a news story. Not one of her finer moments.

respecting all opinions; but why is MADONNA the only person pointed at as being 'desperate' when she collaborates with a hot producer or artist of the moment? that stuff has been going on since forever. good on her!! linking herself to the woman who will most likely be around for the next 25 (like it or not) is smart. and if you think just being a good artist with good songs is what's going to get you to stick around considering the fall of the music industry well... and let's not forget self promotion is a talent within itself and no one's appeared to have mastered that more than Madonna herself. i say good for her.

I completely agree with everything except your prediction that Britney will be around for the next 25 years. BTW Will she sing "Me Against The Music"?

Right. I don't see what the big deal is. It doesn't say they're going to be performing during the same song. Britney might come out at one point, Justin at another. They work in the industry and with Madonna. It happens. She and this tour have been successful for many months before this. I could care less about Britney but I'm sure it'll be fun to have JT come out for 4 Minutes.

She also wants Kanye West to join her onstage at one of the shows. The Pharrell appearance in New York a few weeks ago was lot of fun.She really let loose when he was onstage with her lol

I think it's always fun when you can get people to join you on stage especially if they worked on the album. And it's a nice surprise for the audience.

I agree,it can be a fun little bonus for the audience.Plus,it's better to have Justin onstage with Madonna instead of having her sing to those video screens...lol....the "4 Minutes" video duet was kinda strange.

my point is not whether the show is sold out or how many records she's sold. my point is that she's using the antics or talents of others to cast a light on her, rather than using her own showstopping abilities to attract attention.

i realize she's always used others to propel her career but lately it's wreaked of desperation to remain relevant and talked about.

since day one it's been antic after antic... is desperate because she's 50 now instead of 20 or 30 something?

no, it's desperate because now she uses other celebs to gain the public's interest. she kisses britney and christina, she makes a record with pharrell and timbalind, she makes a song with britney, then justin, now she's bringing the two back on stage together...none of this is about madonna, it's about the other people.

Lighting and technical difficulties nearly stop the show
Madonna isn't going to let lighting and technical issues keep her from performing at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
A statement from her publicist, Liz Rosenberg, says construction of the singer's stage came to a halt Wednesday due to an equipment malfunction.
Although damage to the top of the stage created several lighting and technical issues, Madonna decided to go ahead with Thursday night's show.
In an e-mail to The Associated Press, Madonna says: 'Even though my stage roof was damaged and some lights and effects aren't working, I want to do the show anyway because I don't want to disappoint my fans.'

Britney and Justin keep their distance

Madonna had her bases covered at Dodger Stadium tonight, although she was careful not to double up.
The pop über-star's Sticky & Sweet tour was made all the more saucy Thursday when long-ago couple Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake joined her onstage—albeit not at the same time.
Spears, clad in black pants, a white tuxedo-style shirt and black heels, shared the spotlight with Madonna on the third song of the night, 'Human Nature' - which, incidentally came pretty late in the evening because the show started nearly three hours late.
The delay possibly had to do with Wednesday's lighting and technical difficulties, which halted construction on the Material Girl's set.
'Half of my stage is missing....which is why we're in the dark,' Madonna informed the crowd later on.
'The absence of light makes it very hard to look into the audience eyes and that's what makes performing such a joy. So come close. And thank you for your understanding.'
Meanwhile, Madge's erstwhile makeout partner skedaddled from the stage long before Timberlake appeared to duet with the belle of the ball on their Hard Candy tune '4 Minutes.'
We hear that Spears, surrounded by bodyguards, immediately took off following Timberlake's appearance. So much for the face time, but perhaps the two of them breathing the same rarified air is as good as it's going to get for awhile.
Adding to the evening's A-list quotient were audience members Jennifer Lopez, Heidi Klum, Carrie Underwood, Dennis Quaid, Hayden Panettiere, Fergie, Kate Moss and Amanda Bynes.

See,this is a professional attitude. The show must go on.It would have been very inconvenient for thousands of fans if Madonna had postponed this show.If this was somebody else, they probably would have postponed the show. Not even a pending divorce can slow Madonna down wink

Madonna doesn't look good on those photos. And Britney doesn't look like a star at all more like a member of the audience called on stage. Which I guess is to be expected. Their looks don't match at all (meaning what they wear). Funny they dueted on "Human Nature" a song which for the most part (if not all-depending on when the backing vocals kicked in) is basically talking, not singing.

I love Britney's outfit. I thought she looked great.

Madonna.. well.. I understand her fans love her, but for me personally... well.. I do not think she looks good. And.. well.. she is a great performer though.
