People buy tickets behind the stage and venues sell tickets behind the stage if there is a demand for them. Why would you expect tickets to sell out for Chris Brown? We can see backflips at the circus for a lot less money.

The reality of the situation is Janet cannot sell out large venues she should have performed at smaller halls.

If the Musicology tour had done this poorly some you would be still discussing it Not sure why Janet is getting a pass.

Most artists will not sell tickets behind the stage when it's situated at the end of the floor. That is a fact.

I did not expect Chris Brown to sell out, I said the capacity for his show was less than 20,000 as was all concert figures I could find for that arena.

-----
Stop making lame ass excuses for Janet's stupidity. It would not have mattered if the capacity was the full 20,000.00 Chris Brown cannot sell out a 20k arena.

This isn't about Chris Brown. No one can sell the full 20,000 seats because the stage takes up a significant amount of space and no one wants to sit behind the stage.

So basically, she's not really selling out any shows but in some cases, she comes pretty close. She probably should have chosen a "hot" opening act.No offense to LL Cool J,but I don't think he helped Janet move too many tickets.

This is not a challenge but who do you think she should have had instead? Rhianna?

Rhianna would have been a wise choice.Or maybe Robin Thicke.

Awhile back,Missy Ellott expressed interest in opening for Janet. She's not exactly "hot" at the moment but I think she would have been an okay choice.

Didn't Missy do a song with Janet on 'Discipline'? The two of them could have performed it together onstage.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Not my favorite song on the disc. Missy is so overdue for a new album.

I think her album is due out in early 09. She’s supposed to be on Ciara’s album too.

I think the reason for the delay is...Timbaland is working with everybody these days. He's busier than he's ever been. There was a time when Missy only had to share him with only a few other artists...lol

The reason for the delay is all of Missy's lead-up singles FLOPPED, that's why. Has nothing to do with producer time.

Where do these numbers come from? I want to see the numbers for George Michael and Tina Turner's shows at American Airlines Center in Dallas. Those were both end shows and I'm pretty sure the capacity was much more than what's being listed here as the max capacity. hmmm

^^You have to apply to Billboard.biz (that costs $$$ though)! They list the reported gross numbers every week!

But yeah, we already have established, that all Janet's capacity numbers are reduced... they probably only report the numbers which initially go on sale... and since the demand wasn't there they never added more seats!

That probably has to do with bad timing if anything. Janet tried to get something going but I guess it was done at such an inopportune time. She did OK tho. She may sell out in Japan...maybe.
