Destiny's frontwoman Beyoncé Knowles abandoned her usual repertoire of stage banter and anthemic pep routines, instead offering the more event-appropriate "I wanna hear you say Bush!"

This should be an immediate disqualification...I don't give a damn who she's married to!!! mad
I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

disbelief I hate when artists do this...perform at any political event that they're asked to,all in the name of publicity.Of course,Beyonce isn't too bright.Maybe she truly doesn't know the difference between a Republican and a Democrat...lol..

I'd rather see Hank fucking Williams, Jr. perform. At least it would be more lively. Hell, even Shitney Houston would be better. Anything but shit hop trash.

The whole theme of inauguration day is the new change, no sense of draggin' out the old without some of the young voices, some of them need their chances too, and now its the best time.

I agree but Beyonce or any of these other shit hoppers is not change either. That's what has been dominating for over 15 years. Real change is getting someone to sing from a new genre. Oops, I forgot, we haven't had a new genre in over 15 years.

I hope Jennifer Hudson is in a place where she can perform at the inaugural. If not, I understand

That would be WONDERFUL! I would LOVE to see her be a part of this historic event. 1. She would do any song justice because she can really sing. 2. Both her and Obama are from Illinois. 3. It would just be great to see her out performing again and being a part of this historic event after the horrific tragedy that's happend to her and her family. I also hope that Jennifer will be in a place where she can perform at the inaugural, I dont doubt that it would be a powerful performance from her. biggrin

Well, if she does end up (over)performing for the Inauguration, wonder if she'll come dressed up like the getup she wore at the European MTV Awards last night lol

spit ROTFL! I guess she really really wants to be an icon badly. She's trying too hard. Let me guess, she was inspired by 70's David Bowie for this outfit confused neutral

OMG that getup is awful. Does anyone take the House of Dereon seriously? It seems they’re always being panned.

I don’t want her within 10 miles of the Inaugural events.

I hope Jennifer Hudson sings. He requested her once before.

This would be so.. well I think it would mean so much to her and also to him considering... her recent tragedy.

Are there multiple opportunities for people to perform or is it just one singer one song?

he should chose someone to perform Hendrix's version of the SSB. i think that would scare the doody out of everyone.

it would be a really cool way to set the tone for his term.

Yes, and someone who isn't going to scream their heads off either. I would love to see Yolanda Adams sing. She's a class act.
