Q-tip vs. Tribe ...................... Q-tip is one of my favorite rappers. I just feel like his solo efforts are just missing a little something. That something is Phife dawg and A. muhammed. I think Q-tips rhymes are ok, but his solo stuff lacks quality beats.
I wish tribe would get back together before Phife Dawg passes away from Diabetes complications. He doesn't look to good now a days. I hope he can get healthy again. Tribe is the greatest rap group of all time. Does anybody else agree the Q-tip's solo stuff is sub par compared to Tribe past releases?

I think it's the reverse--like his solo music just fine, but I think the rhymes are a little too subdued

i agree completely, The Low End Theory and Midnight Marauders are bonafied classics (universally agreed upon i might add). Tip's solo stuff pales in comparison. i haven't heard the new stuff. the buzz has me interested but i always thought Tip had a great voice but couldn't carry an album by himself. his chemistry with Tribe was what he/they all needed. too bad that Phife isnt' doing too well.
