If y'all don't yet have the CD called Love, which is the sound track from the Cirque du Soleil Las Vegas show of the same name, you gotta get it.
It's a 26 track continuous mix of Beatles tunes from every era that was sequenced and mixed by longtime Beatles producer George Martin and his son, Giles with input from Paul, Ringo, Yoko and Olivia Harrison. It takes ya on a delightful journey of surprise because you have never heard these beloved tunes in quite this way before Essentially it is a mash-up style production compiled from the original recordings. To give you a hint- there you are listening to Get Back but instead of hearing it like you expect to It has passages from Glass Onion mixed in and it works oh so well. I can only listen to it once every few months because the charm of it lies in all the surprises. Highly recommended; essential for any true Beatles fan.

don't have anything by them. i guess i'm missing out huh, i'm okay with it though. only familiar with the ubiquitous snips of songs like hard day's night, & i wanna hold ur hand and a couple others.

Love them. One of the few bands that I can go on a listening binge too. I pull out one CD and the others are avalanched right behind them.
My favorite Beatles era is from 66 to 70. When they tapped into drugs and psychedelia, it was a whole new thing.

Here's the version of Because... ...from that release. An a capella version similar to the one I posted earlier. Saw the Cirque de Soleil show in Vegas some months ago. Very impressive mixes of the tunes. Went to check out the audio setup a few month's prior to the grand opening. Missed meeting Sir George Martin by about 15 minutes. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 [Edited 11/4/08 19:24pm] "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. The picture with the leis made me laugh out loud for some reason. I know, huh. I was watching the video and was like WTF? It's as if they were lovers or something. No appearance of Paul or Ringo? And that picture of them kissing? That's not real is it? I've been a Beatles fan forever and have NEVER seen a picture like that!

Greatest band in history, IMHO.

While i'm not fanatical about them like many are, I do own a few of their albums and yes I agree they are great indeed. Definitely one of the greatest and most influential bands ever. "And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ
"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always

I'm actually in the middle of reading a Beatles bio, and hadn't realized how tight George and John were--they were the ones who went off and got all freaky with the Marahashi. But I do think that final photo was photoshopped--the only guy John fooled around with was Brian Epstein. Maybe.

Really shows how great the actual recordings were! And I'm pretty picky with sounds with it being my job. _ Music, sweet music, I wish I could caress and...kiss, kiss...

Even doing projects together AFTER the Beatles broke up. Not as tight as the video made it seem but pretty close. George even sings in "All Those Years Ago" "I always looked up to you". Kinda like a big brother type since George was the youngest. Paul pretty much treated George like shit. That photo had to be photoshopped! And about the Lennon/Epstein vacation?
