I never listened to this. I only like their first 3 albums, but if this Christmas music is on some Blue Moon schitt then I won't feel it.

It is. It has a similar vibe to the Blue Moon project (to me anyway). Some of the NE experts may say different.

Bleh.

I need that b-boy poppin' NE music.

Well, I think it's too early to LISTEN to Christmas music NOW, but I DO think that it's okay to look forward to LISTENING to it on or after Thanksgiving.

for the last few years, I've been getting into the traditional Christmas music. No, not Perry Como. But Gregorian and medieval Advent songs and chants. They can enhance the spirituality of the season.

But a few of my essentials include:

and a nice (uber) contemporary set

Well remember it is CHRISTMAS music so not a lot of b-boy poppin' going on...confused
But it's NOT doo-wop if that's what you didn't like about Under the Blue Moon.

That's usually standard protocal. They begin putting Christmas items on the shelf Oct. 1. Then, by Nov. 1, you get the music.

Okay I listened to this yesterday morning and it is definitely a MUST BUY!!!! It's a very jazzy, bluesy, version of Christmas....not one slow song in the bunch from what I can remember and I love that. Usually the traditionally slow Christmas songs (Silent Night, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas) make me sad and think about my loved ones who are no longer here, but her version blows the socks off the traditional versions!!!

Trust me, you must get this as soon as you can, it's one of the best Christmas albums i've heard in a long time!!!! nod
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

One song I have really liked recently is that "All I Want For Christmas is You."

I also like.. that one sung by Eartha Kitt, "Santa Baby."

I also like "Un flambeau, Jeanette, Isabella.."

Mariah's?

Though Mariah's Christmas album is very pop, it is a very good Christmas album. No wonder it sells shit-loads every year.
