Whitney:I'm Your Baby Tonight/Love Will Save The Day Aren't those two songs perfect pop? I think i listened to those two far more than any other whitney song and I personally think they are her best non-ballads | |

It felt so good listening to LWSTD played on the radio outloud back in the day. I love the message in the song and it makes you wanna get up and dance.

I HATE Love Will Save the Day as well as So Emotional.
As for I'm Your Baby Tonight, I think it is one of Babyface and LA's best of from the 80s. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Co-sign! It's easily one of my favorite Whitney songs period.I kind of figured you would like those. 
Now, I do enjoy some of her other uptempo songs...especially the dance remixes, but never could get into either of these. "My Name Is Not Susan" is tha shiznet! Especially the remix with Monie Love! **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I'll agree with that. I like a lot of the late '90s stuff also: "My Love Is Your Love," "It's Not Right, But It's Okay," "If I Told You That," "Fine"...
In the 80s, I really didn't get into Whitney. She was a bit too "pop" for my taste. I never got how a person with such a great voice was singing cheesy-pop songs. When she did the "I'm Your Baby Tonight" project, I started liking her. People kill me with this "Whitney went Pop so fuck her" attitude.lol Nat King Cole, Ella Fitz Gerald, Sammy Davis, Jr, and Louis Armstrong just to name a few did it before her. They were all labeled sellouts because their sound focused mainly on the pop audience. In the 80's, Whitney was doin it and doin it well, don't knock her game and it's not a crime especially since she wasn't the first and won't be the last. Beyonce is having an entire cd of her double disc to be dedicated to just the Pop audience. hmmm | |

Oh and musically too.  Also she didnt have much imput when she started out at all I believe, but by the time you have an album like "i'm your baby tonight" shes a super super star, I remember I had a MIDI file of "I wanna Dance With Somebody" and messed round with it. Thats a fun uptempo song also to me).
