The firm, led by partners Benny Medina and Jeff Pollack, has boasted such high-profile clients over the years as Jennifer Lopez, Tyra Banks, Mariah Carey, Kyra Sedgwick, Mekhi Phifer, Usher, Chris Rock, Will Smith, Sean "Puffy" Combs, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds and Nicole Richie. However, most of those clients have parted ways with the company, with Banks and Usher exiting within the past year. Reports surfaced last month that Carey was the latest to exit the company, but statements from the singer and manager reportedly indicated that, while Handprint would not be managing Carey, the parties would still be working on projects together. Really? Please tell us more. I'm only familiar with Medina's credentials. I've never heard any stories about him, though. First would be in the very early 90's with Prince, he was there for D&P but then when prince wanted out of WB he ditched benny and others, benny then proceeded to spread rumours about Prince's so called motives for leaving, told WB that Prince was holding back good songs for his own while giving them crap to release from the vault, also he was behind the EXODUS cd getting shelved in the USA. Second would be the whole JLO thing, he was up JLO's ass, but when she wouldnt give it up to him he couldnt deal with it, Benny was behind things like lifting tracks from mariah and giving them to Sony after Mariah left, this was his job at the time. But when JLO married marc and started to clean house Benny got the boot, and went to mariah and basically made up the stories of stealing tracks from Mariah for Tommy mottola, which wasnt true this was another lie made up by Mariah Carey that SHE KNOWS IS A LIE. He made it seem as if JLO paid Benny to steal music from mariah for her records, and it was a lie, nothing but a lie that still lives to this day. that statement is not accurate at all. benny wasn't involved with Mariah untill Emancipation, which was 4 years after the Glitter incident. Jennifer Lopez stealing the tracks from Mariah was not a lie. it was a fact and Ja Rule was the one who called her and tommy mottola out on it on the radio and admitted his guilt in it and that he gave in to Tommy's orders after he called him personally and asked him to left those ideas from Mariah and hand them to Jennifer. . now i understand what goes on behind the scenes and how it affects the artists, especially one's like Prince who is the creator of his own art and how he was exploited.
i appreciate his courage even more so now that he had the guts to speak up and make a change for the better in his life and opened the way for others in the same field to become educated and how they can protect themselves from the corrupt practices of these greedy producers. good for him! | |

that statement is not accurate at all. benny wasn't involved with Mariah untill Emancipation, which was 4 years after the Glitter incident. Jennifer Lopez stealing the tracks from Mariah was not a lie. it was a fact and Ja Rule was the one who called her and tommy mottola out on it on the radio and admitted his guilt in it and that he gave in to Tommy's orders after he called him personally and asked him to left those ideas from Mariah and hand them to Jennifer. .
