the set list of this versin is rubbish, it misses out some great ballads in favour of some mid tempo crap (How much anyone?)

the Japanese version is far better, though even that isn't really complete.

Well I am not too keen on Mariah, I haven't listened to any of her albums except "Music Box" (I wasn't very impressed) just the singles and based on those she was great in the first half of the 90s lost me in the middle of the 90s, had her best singles from the "Emancipation Of Mimi" album and now she seems to be going down again...I am not very impressed from the compilation. "Hero", "Anytime You Need A Friend" and "Vision Of Love" are all-time classics."My All" is OK. "I'll Be There" is superb much better than the original, "I Still Believe" is almost as good as the original too."Thank God I Found You" had a great non-ballad remix (it had a video too is this the version included?), "The Roof" and "All I Want For Christmas" are great too but definitely not ballads. "Dreamlover" and "Always Be My Babe" are alright but also not ballads. Well "Without You", "Open Arms", "Against All Odds" and "Endless Love" are some of the worst and most needless cover versions ever made by anyone, "One Sweet Day" is my definition of crap music and I don't know about the rest. By the way where is "Can't Let Go" "When You Believe" and "Love Takes Time" and since this compilation uses such a wide definition of the word "ballad" where are my favourite Mariah "ballads":Someday, Make It Happen and Honey?

I wonder why? she must still owe something to Sony and care where this release will land. Then again i think overseas this will do well and help build her sales back up over there which were very poor for the last album

that is a pretty crappy set list. along with a few of the others already mentioned, "I don't Wanna Cry" isn't there.

At least they didn't include her whacked-out version of "The Beautiful Ones."

It's from Sony. Not her choice. The list makes no sense.

she must . maybe. didn't she get out of her contact with sony still owing them an album? maybe it was just an album she owes them and not an original album where more than half are new records.

I figured it was a dumb sony thing, but mellow shit is a better name for it for sure!

Even though I have all her albums and like a lot of her nonsingles, she really gets on my nerves overall and tries too hard

She's not going to be over here to promote "The Ballads".
She's going on x-factor this saturday to promote "I Stay In Love".
On the Sow she's gunna be singing 2 songs. One as the first act on the actual show, and the other on the results show.
This week is also Mariah week, so all the contestants will be singing Mariah songs.

My guess is that she'll sing "I Stay in Love" and "Hero" - As it's the X-factor charity single which is currently number 1 here in the U.K
