"Superstar" by Lydia Murdock (1983) I remember this record!! I used to hear this with that other record, (what would now be considered a "mashup), a mixup with "Billie Jean and Steely Dan's, "Do It Again". Do you remember that one? A shit song that would never have made it on merit alone.
She looks very fuckable though. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

The term wack could've been invented just to describe this tacky mess. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

"Do It Again,Billie Jean" by Slingshot (1983) Another group called Clubhouse did "Do It Again/Billie Jean" the same year that Slingshot did. They did the same thing Slingshot did by combining Billie Jean and Steely Dan. I like Slingshot's version better than Clubhouse's though. Andy is a four letter word. | |

You guys are gonna have your minds blown when I one day find the time to break "Billie Jean" (and all Michael's other "bad woman" songs) down for you and tell you what's really going on there. I may start a thread on that soon. Although it will drive the loons insane with rage, more mature heads will find much food for thought there, and will feel they've gained tremendous insights into Jacko's twisted psychology. If you're nice to me I might drop that one in the next week or two. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

She looks very fuckable though. Classy. A Madonna fan talking about class? “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

Can someone close the window? Fuck, coulda sworn I saw an ego-bug flying round. [Edited 10/17/08 15:27pm] Well, I won't be saying anything it took a genius to figure out, but obvious things often go unsaid with Michael, for one reason. Because he is not taken seriously by intellectuals he has never really had any serious book written about him. He has never had his work analysed in the way that Bob Dylan, The Beatles, etc. have. Therefore there are huge points which haven't really been made and probably haven't even occurred to most people. Even Madonna in the early '90s had loads of academics studying her. Michael has never had that, because most highbrows see him as a kiddie artist. After he dies you might get some serious studies done on the man and his work, but so far there haven't been any, which is why my insights will seem incredible to you although they're really just common sense. It's no ego, son. Just clear thinking. Stay tuned. I'll try and get round to it sometime this week. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

MM, I'm actually keen to hear your thoughts on this. Some questions in advance: 1. When you were co-writing Billie Jean with Mike did you tell him to tone down the misogynist lyrics? 2. Who really came up with that Billie Jean bass line - you or Mike? 3. When you guys were chilling in the studio did MJ ever talk about women? If so, what he say? 4. How did you feel when he gave you the call to co-write Dirty Diana? 5. Does he give a breakdown of the idea for a song - in terms of lyrical content? Like: "This song's about a filthy hussy I met backstage once. Here's a demo now come up with some ideas..." 5. Did you write the Dirty Diana chorus? I think it's mind-blowing. 6. Heartbreak Hotel - you too? Thanks!! Looking forward to your breakdown - don't mind the loons here.
