I don't believe everything I read, but I was looking at a People magazine at my Dr's office the other week and the story in their about Lauryn was kind of shocking. Her man is with other women (having babies too) and they haven't named the lasted baby because they are waiting for some spiritual advisor to tell them what to name the child. Lauryn seems lost and spaced out these last few years. It's too bad because she has enormous talent. Girl...I know some folks who were there...she is in her own world, for real  | |

That's why her appearance didn't really faze me cuz I have two homegirls with 2 kids under the age of 3 and they are both busted. Still love 'em though but I wouldn't trade places with 'em for a million bucks. Well, on second thought, maybe a million bucks and a nanny.  | |

Her "busted-ness" is no excuse. I've seen plenty of mothers with 3 or more kids look more presentable than she does in that picture - a hot mess! She looks like she just rolled out of bed and put on some clothes you would just normally wear while cleaning the house. She needs to get with it, famous or not, you should at least look presentable when going out,even if its wearing a decent pair of sweats with some chapstick to the grocery store. As a father of five... I'll tell you this for sure. I wear Payless... my kids shop Footlocker. Thats just the mentality of a parent. As klong as they look good... you're cool. You sacrifice so the kids can have.Alsom people will judge you more on your kids appearance than your own. Women who feel that another woman can't leave the house with out make up... probably should just never leave the house themselves.(yeah I said it.. so what) Nnot saying that you're ugly and shouldn't come out... but I am saying that you shouldn't project your own insecurities about your looks... or your superficial ideas onto other women. I can't stand women who act as if they must put on make up just to go to the store. A lot of women don't mind looking 'plain' in public. And truth be told... men prefer looking at a women in her 'plain' form rather than all made up only to be shocked in the morning when the make up comes off. I can't believe how bad some of you are dissing Lauryn's look (well, actually I can), when she's standing next to the wicked witch of the east.
Granted, she looks tired, but I got tired just LOOKING at a picture of her kids.
I haven't really followed the stories about what has happened to her after The Miseducation success, but in the picture she looks like a woman who has spent a day out with four of her five kids, and she is ready for that day to end. NOW. | |
