Oasis - Dig Out Your Soul

Any Oasis fans here? Prob not on a Prince site, but had to give a shout out about their new album. Really diggin it. Best since Morning Glory? Maybe. Of course, total Beatles rip-off but I don't care, this thing is pretty rockin.

Bag it Up
The Shock of Lightning
I'm Outta Time (LOVE this one)
Falling Down
Soldier On

Still letting the rest sink in but those are the ones grabbn me so far.

They've made a career out of ripping the Beatles off. This CD is no different, but I agree it does sound good.

another strong record once again from Oasis, one of their best.

Bought this yesterday, so haven't had much of a chance to get used to it, but think i like "don't believe the truth" more. "Heathen chemistry" and "be here now" are way underrated too, only weak album is "standing on the.....". How would you guys rank their albums?
We're here, might as well get into it.

P.S love "shock of the lightning", reminds me of "rock n' roll star" a lot. Probably just need more time for rest of the songs to grow on me, they're not obvious singles with big choruses, more beat driven head boppers with nice bass lines.
We're here, might as well get into it.

Definitely Maybe
Morning Glory
Dig Out Your Soul
Familiar to Millions
Don't Believe the Truth
Standing on the Shoulders of Giants
Heathen Chemistry

Yeah, I've heard a lot of folk say that in the last week. I'm looking forward to hearing it.
I think The Shock Of The Lightening is a great track, I'm surprised it didn't hit no.1.

Their best work since "What's The Story (Morning Glory)".
Noel is operating at the peak of his powers on this latest disc.

As far as brit stuff goes! I will check it out the new Oasis (as always) but have been listening to the Kaiser Chiefs the last couple of years.

I really miss Blur but enjoy Grahan Coxon's solo stuff.

Yeah, I've heard a lot of folk say that in the last week.

I'd agree with that as well.

I'm beginning to agree myself. The first seven tracks are especially good.

As some of you know, both those dudes are on my Men I Am Going To Punch In The Mouth list.

Hopefully, this will not affect their ability to make music that pleases you.
