Prayer is fine, but it doesn't cure everything. You need to do for yourself.

Way off topic

A bit. But should we be chastized for that? This is not the Politics & Religion forum, it is a celebrity thread in Music. While the topic is about a member of the Debarge family and their drug and jail issues, the conversation turned to how or why the way they dress could or could not be an indication of sexual tendencies. The sexual tendencies and drug addiction and jail problems being in direct relation to the Debarge's rather tragic childhood issues. I think most here have expressed their sadness, disappointment, and hope for El Debarge's recovery. I don't understand what more you are looking for in our responses. This is not a wake. El is not dead. He is the victim toxic formmative years, yes. He is a great talent, who apparently has so much inner turmoil that he is currently not capable of making good decisions for himself. Therefore, he is now in jail and hopefully get the rehabiltation and treatment he needs in a controlled environment. As a fan of his family's music, naturally I hope with all my heart that he and the others will be able to heal from whatever it is that tortures them so and eventually lead productive lives in abundant creativity. But again, he is not dead, he still has a chance to rebuild and reclaim his life after this. Therefore please excuse some of us if we don't exactly choose to approach the thread as if it is a cyberspace version of a candlelight vigil. Celebrity topics always veer off course a little here. It doesn't mean that people are disrepecting or not focusing on the topic at hand.

He is so talented and he has so much to offer. Who knew he would turn out to be the most troubled Debarge behind Bobby? Please, El get it together!

I was so excited (and jealous!) when you told us you were going to see the family in concert. But to hear he acted a hot mess during the show neutral. Maybe this is his "bottom" so he can get into recovery...

Looking at both El and Chico in this picture, how can anyone think these guys were "sober" anyway:

Well, you see, I guess what I'm trying to say is after you've tried drugs for a number of years, especially drugs that he was using, your eyes will be very heavy and you start looking as if you're looking ragged. That's the best I can describe it. shrug

No because it'll be too complicated for me to explain. And besides, I wish I hadn't said that because I know I'll be questioned. lol

The mother says she has Native American ancestry so that explains Mark's look. James just looks old. confused
