We are and have been rooting for El to straighten out his life for

But then again, that image was propagated by Motown. Although I have seen interviews with El that put that image out there. However, it has been said that on the whole the Debarges are a ghetto bunch. I do think that Marty and Randy are not as ghetto as some others.

TMZ has learned the singer was arrested in L.A. earlier this month, and locked up after cops discovered two warrants for his arrest.

El DeBarge -- real name Patrick Eldra DeBarge -- was nailed on several charges last year, ranging from vandalism to drugs and domestic violence. The mugshot in this post was taken during the 2007 arrest.
