AlexdeParis said: scriptgirl said: Yeah, but even way before the crack El was always skinny. He has never been muscular like Chico.
Of course, Chico used to look like this: He didn't really bulk up until he spent some time in the clink. Maybe El will follow in his little brother's footsteps there as well. Man, he really looks different than he did when he appeared on Soul Train that same year. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Found out what prop 36 is-it's a rehab option available to people who have committed drug related offenses.Typically, it is available to first or second time offenders. Don't think this would for El, cause he has multiple felonies on his record "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

Here's more"
Here's a brief summary of what Prop 36 is: Requires probation and drug treatment program, not incarceration, for conviction of possession, use, transportation for personal use or being under influence of controlled substances and similar parole violations, not including sale or manufacture. Permits additional probation conditions except incarceration. Authorizes dismissal of charges when treatment completed, but requires disclosure of arrest and conviction to law enforcement and for candidates, peace officers, licensure, lottery contractors, jury service; prohibits using conviction to deny employment, benefits, or license. Appropriates treatment funds through 2005-2006; prohibits use of these funds to supplant existing programs or for drug testing "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

I am not sure if I am the only one, but I find something very troubling about the fact that citizens can have their records accessed online by complete strangers. If the detained person is not a threat to society, or if the search has nothing to do with a backround check for employment, financial, or safety purposes...something feels invasive and inherently wrong about strangers digging into a citizen file like this and posting their info online for mass consumption and public fodder.

If you wanna find information about people you know, you can check online. Maybe it's invasive but it's out there. Unfortunately I think that's how some want it.

I don't know how it is legal either, but from what I hear, you find the Manson murder victims crime scene photos by just Googling them. Maybe the info is public because the cops think it's for public safety reasons. The charges are not detailed in the least.
And once you do something wrong, it is no longer private. And honestly, in this day and age, there is nothing private. You can find out anything you want about anyone. [Edited 10/26/08 23:40pm] "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

[Edited 10/26/08 23:40pm] Just because the information is availble, why should society not be prudent in how it is distributed, and for what purposes? My question is, WHY would anyone want to look up or post personal stats. I do not see what purpose it will serve in helping the obviously troubled indivdual in question. In the case of Manson, what we have was a clearly heinous crime that altered the pop culture fabric of the nation. It created a presets for cases about mass murder, serial murder, the pschological analysis of mass murderers, cults, messianic figures, ect. There is a lot that can be learned from studying the example of the massacre Manson and his followers committed...for crime solving purposes, the study of mental health, and contributing to the protection of society. Knowing that El Debarge was 140lbs going into jail for probation violation somehow does not hold the same societal importance for me, and feels like unwaranted, excessive disclosure.

Like I said, we don't know what he was in for,it is all speculation. The crux of the problem is El. He shouldn't have broken the law to begin with. But maybe this will be the major wake up call he needs. "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries."

TMZ has broken the news:
El DeBarge -- El Busted Again Posted Oct 27th 2008 9:05AM by TMZ Staff '80's pop star El DeBarge was popped again -- this time for possession of a controlled substance. TMZ has learned the singer was arrested in L.A. earlier this month, and locked up after cops discovered two warrants for his arrest. Chico did look androgynous, but he pulled it off and in a way he didn't. He looked the part, but somehow, he seemed way more masculine than the rest of his bros.
EL, that mugshot is heartbreaking.
