That`s quite a lot of hair..... eek

It would have been cool to hear Patti sing it, but this song was perfect for Stephanie Mills.

didn't she also turn down Holiday?

A wonder she didn't turn down Lady Marmelade too.

I knew about her turning down "Feel Good", years ago. In my opinion, I think Stephanie did an good job, whereas Patti would have over sung it...the way she does most of her songs.

I love Patti's emotional deliverance,,,it even seems like an out-of-body experience, like she couldn't control it if she could.

If Mary J Blige had the pitch and the range of Patti, she could've been her understudy.

I have to agree with that, Stephanie had the perfect voice for that.

Seriously on the hair.

This song was made for Stephanie. It's one of my favorites by her.

Interesting info. I can't see anybody else singing that song but Stephanie, tbh, it's perfect for her.

Yeah, the song "Holiday" was originally intended for Patti.I guess she declined it and it became Madonna's signature hit.

I've always heard Mary Wilson of The Supremes also turned down "Holiday."

yeah, apparently it was offered to a few people before Madonna got to it.

Interestingly, the song "Open Your Heart" was first offered to the Temptations(!!) before it got to Madonna.
