Firstly, the only reason I don't make more threads on people I like is because they never lead to any discussions. The Cyndi threads actually get more of a response than the Bob threads. eek

But mostly, you're MISSING THE POINT! The point is Aretha would not be discussed much here AT ALL if not for her weight. That shows the superficiality of this site. The truth is my posts on MJ and the like usually have a lot more substance than the blander posts of people like yourself.

If you think "I'm right and you're wrong, deluded and stupid" (which is the general gist of the majority of your posts) qualifies as 'substance', then please feel free to amaze us with more wonderful insights. I can't wait.

This is a shameless mischaracterization of my posts. I always back up my arguments. No objective person would deny that.

PLEASE! You guys are not talking about Aretha all day because you're concerned for her health. You're talking about her because her weight is good gossip fodder.

First, just because some are doing it, does not mean that ALL are doing it. I really don't care too much for her as a singer, but she is suffering from two problems. The first is her weight and the second is her thinking that she does not have a problem and that her fans are going to love her anyway. Nobody is going to love her when she is DEAD!!. She brought this weight problem upon herself, so if people are going to use it as gossip fotter then I guess it is she that is going to have to put a stop to it. She does not need sympathy she needs intervention.

lol Dude, why don't you take that oh-so-genuine compassion of yours and actually do some good with it? If you care so deeply why not volunteer for some charity? The truth is people enjoy watching train wrecks, but rather than just admit it, they pretend to be motivated by concern. Please. I have more respect for the people who crack jokes about it. At least they're not kidding themselves about their own motivations.

Okay, to your statement about how "how she would not be discussed otherwise, if not for her weight problem; let me asked you this. We all ready know that she is the "Queen of Soul", or so, some of you consider her. Aside from that, what else has she lately, what else is there to discuss? She has not put out anything in a while and we all know about her achievements as a singer. People forget that she is human, she sits down to pee just like every women that I know. Just because she is famous does not negate her from someone telling her, "Hey Reatha, your slip is showin'", to use a phrase my grandma used to use.

I have not compassion for someone who does not have any motivation to help themselves. Why should I be concerned about a so-called "train wreck" that was going to happen. Deep down inside, she knows that she has a problem. But, whatever her reasoning is, she chooses to do nothing about it. Maybe it is fear that if she goes to the doctor about it, he might find out that there is an even bigger problem. She has to deal with it and does not need anybody to blame for it but herself. Like I said before, if you know that you have a problem and choose to do nothing about it, then you have NO right to complain when people start to talk about it.

Aretha's such a hungry beast she'd probably eat Madonna's cheek implants if you put a little ketchup on them. nod

No it really isn't.

You are letting your personal feelings cloud your judgement. Sure, I can be brusque, but to say that my posts are just pure insults is plain wrong. I drop a lot of knowledge. It's sad that MJ and Madonna fanatics are so enraged by me that they choose not to see that.

Yeah, whatever. You've been singled out as the most annoying and insulting poster in this forum by several other orgers. That tells you really all you need to know.
You can justify your actions as much as you please but it doesn't change the fact that you can't help but rip on other people's tastes constantly.
And here you are now getting on your high horse about Aretha yet can't resist forever turning Michael Jackson threads into boring diatribes about the child sex-abuse allegations or dismissing virtually everything that Madonna has done. Over and over and over and over...
You're fucking hilarious. lol

You're ignoring something. Absolutely everyone who's bitched about me has been either an MJ or a Madonna fanatic. lol Is that just a coincidence? Me thinks not. wink

More distortions on your part. Do you have any shame? I know a lot about MJ and Madonna since I grew up with them. They are the most discussed artists on this website, so I join in the discussions. It has nothing to do with "going for easy targets". Got any other words you want to put in my mouth?

I'll state my opinions on them for sure, but I'll back up everything I say. That's the point.

You'll state your opinions, decry every MJ fan as a lunatic and tell every Madonna fan that they're deluded about her talent if they disagree with you. That's the point.
