did u get the retainer case looking box set?

I am wondering how it is... I was formerly a die hard, but I have gotten over her in recent times.

I saw her in person for the LA premiere of Dancer In The Dark and she could not have been more nasty to me. I still like her music, but I was really disappointed with Vespertine and all the b-sides that came with it.

Please give me a review.

"Family Tree" is exceptional. The Strings discs alone are worth it. What did she do that was so nasty to you? sad

I asked her for her autograph and i was standing right next to her and she totally ignored me (this went on for about 5 minutes).. she said she wanted her privacy (which i can understand)... then some of the autograph whores (who make a living selling signatures) followed her back to the hotel where she was staying and she signed autographs for them. I didn't get it... at the premiere she wanted privacy, then after the premiere, she didn't care... she had it ass-backwards!

But I coined a phrase that night... when u are standing right next to someone and u get totally ignored, u have been Bjorked!

I prob. wouldn't like it then... her "strings" shit bores me. I like it when she is breaking new ground with techno beats and working with bomb-ass prodcuers that become mainstream 5 years later when Madonna decides she wants to work with them. From the track list I read, it seemed like most of the strings stuff is already available on bootlegs (brodsky quartet stuff)... unless it's from different performances.

All of the strings versions are new to me, but I don't own any bootlegs of hers that contain studio tracks, so I don't know. She also has a "beats" CD and a "roots" CD, but most of those aren't new versions.

The Strings stuff I was talking about was a brodsky quartet bootleg (live)... quality is pretty good... material (IMO) is pretty ordinary. She did perform I've Seen It All WAAAY before it got released.

Most of the strings versions on there sound like studio versions.

What is it about Vespertine that you don't like? I think it's easily her best yet.

I've met her 2 different times and she was super friendly to me. I even gave her a gift.

Oh, I forgot Telegram. This is a tough one. I'd say my very favorites are Cover Me- Dillinja and A Flirt is Not a Promise.

I think vespertine is boring. As I was saying in a previous post (no pun intended) I like her "beats" music much better than her "strings" stuff. I like a few tracks off it, but I got sick of the album faster than any other record from her.

I'm not surprised that she was very friendly to u... from stories i've heard throught the years about her, she can be Dr. Jeckyll & Mrs. Hyde depending on the day.

I only have Debut, Post and Vespertine. I was as of a few weeks ago, pretty much anti-Bjork. But I've come around to her. Vespertine and Post are both amazing.

Debut- Venus as a Boy
Post- It's Oh So Quiet/Hyperballad/Possibly Maybe
Vespertine- Cocoon and Pagan Poetry
