I'm pretty sure "Be Not Always" was a Jacksons track. It was writtem by Mike and Marlon. Possibly for Triumph (when originally written.)
PRINCE: Always and Forever
MICHAEL JACKSON: Always and Forever

"State of Shock" and "Be Not Always" were "Thriller" outtakes, I think.

State of Shock was written right after Thriller was released. He did the demos of State of Shock, There Must Be More To Life Than This, and Victory with Freddie in the summer of '83

Be Not Always was written in 1979 and was supposedly planned for another project but Michael put it on Victory instead

Damn, why I always get the shit wrong? lol Thanks, guys.

Weren't the Jacksons being branded sellouts because of the whole Don King ordeal and making people buy 5 tickets at a time only, which pissed off low income fans?

I really don't know, I was a baby myself so I'm not too sure but I'm sure that it wasn't that bad... but I think some black folks always thought the Jacksons were some sellout busters, lol.

Famous Blacks considered "sellout busters":

The Jacksons
Diana Ross
Dionne Warwick
Donna Summer
OJ
Tiger Woods
Diahanne Carrol
Lena Horne
Clarence Thomas
Ward Connelly
Taye Diggs
Whitney Houston (until she married Bobbay)
Tina Turner
Lionel Ritchie
Eddie Murphy
Will Smith

Is there anyone I'm missing? lol

Maybe there is more but I think this pretty much cover the bases except to be HONEST with you, I don't know if Donna was ever considered one, per se. I know Tina Turner was considered one. lol

Tina's now on the list. wink I put Donna because of the way I've seen her attacked by blacks for her choice of husbands mostly.

Sometimes you can be married to a black woman or man if you're black and still be called a sellout. lol

But yeah that's one way to view it. confused

Put Lionel Richie in there too.
