Jennings served 10 years in prison from 1992-2002 on a felony charge when he was 14.

Jennings music career started after his December 2002 prison release when he won the amateur contest at the Apollo five times.

His first album, released in August 2004, was titled “Lyfe 268-192,” with the numbers representing his prison number. Jennings’ biggest hit was “Must Be Nice” which was on the first album.

Smyrna police chased Jennings after receiving a call about a gunshot fired. Police followed Jennings in his red Corvette along Concord Road, where he was going about 70 mph according to the warrant.

Once he was stopped, Jennings refused a field sobriety test. The warrant said he “had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage” coming from his breath.

Yolanda Brown, better known as LaLa, was found murdered in a Milwaukee recording studio along with her boyfriend, JeTannue Clayborn. LaLa is the female singer featured on Lyfe Jennings hit single, SEX. LaLa and JeTannue were reportedly ambushed in the studio, robbed and then shot dead.

The lady that is the mother of his children used to manage Bone Thugs. She had a brother who was locked with Lyfe. That was the connection into the music business. She guided him all the way.

Very true, plus the fact that no one has been caught, almost all the time you hear this its "gang related", this was the same shit with the bodyguard that got shot on the Busta Rhymes video, then Busta said he didnt want the police involved, guess why, it had to do with a gang connection that his son was involved with. One time a small time criminal put it in perspective for me. I was once a surveillance officer for the state. I went to go check on a client. He was outside on the step mad as hell.I asked him what was wrong. He said the police took 3 crack rocks and $200.00 from him. Gave him back one crack rock so he could get back on. I could not believe it but I knew he wasn't lying. He looked up at me and said.....

I have been awake ever since.

Exactly, i mean there have been some leaks that Biggies murder was done by cops that were former gang members that knew suge knight, and it was all some kind of payback for 2pac or even was an ordered "hit" before 2pacs death by 2pac himself, i have always had this feeling that 2pacs past was still his present, and his ties were never cut.
