It's tied up with this performance; it's the one Prince tried to recreate in the movie; it's the first time he performed it in front of an audience. I love how he introduces the song.

So. How was it, on a big screen but with a grainy copy of the movie?

It was projected from the DVD so it looked cleaned up and sounded/looked amazing love

I never noticed St. Paul during The Time's performances before seeing it on the big screen.

I am more emo, right now; my hair is way longer than it has been in ages. I am growing a hairdo and it's in the middle of this rather awkward stage that it looks really silly, but I am going to hold on longer!

I looooove that song. It's on my Pure playlist, of course. And I dressed more Robert Smith than new romantic. I am from the country. New romantic was gay. I didn't want to be gay at age 13.

Now come age 16... stuff changed.

Yeah, new romantic is too gay! I would have been more Adam Ant than Robert Smith tho... lol

That song is just pure heaven. The live version with the Visage-esque intro is just way beyond words. LOVE. smile

Me too! I just trimmed around the ear/sideburn perimeter this morning so I can keep going.

Too many times I have tried to do this, asked the hairdresser or barber to have just the sides trimmed... then they get the clippers and insist on blending it with the top. I never get the early/mid 1900's look.

update: just got my haircut: trimmed around the ears/back and left the top long.

I am horrid. I first throw in ALL Tori songs, then move the ones I like best to another playlist and then press SHUFFLE SONGS. I like the surprise pairings of songs.

cool

Then I listen to it and move songs about; you do not need all Earthquake songs in segue, I wanna spread them around. And some songs sound great in segue or as opener. Dove HAD to open this playlist.

This list is the edited version; the real playlist has two versions of Damage, three of Crucify, etc until I make up my mind which one is best.

Other times, I just list them alphabetically. Often works as well; one of Tori's music books gave me the idea actually; we sold a book with tabs and one of hers listed them alphabetically and that is how I compiled my first Tori Best Of on tape. It was Called Tori ABC. I stuck to that often.

This is the fun of the SHUFFLE tracklisting; I would never come up to pair Sister Janet with Gold Dust, but Janet's outro just ties in AMAZINGLY well with Gold Dust. Wow.
