music I liked Tracy and her hair is so pretty. Her and Shanice were doing their thang before the Brandy/Aaliyah/Monica invasion.

Tracie is one of those names I heard a lot but I wasn't sure of what she sang. This was a great tune!

I've always loved this song. It brings back great memories...

I got to meet the co-writer of this song, Matt Sherrod, who is now the drummer for Crowded House. I told him how much I loved it -- I think he was a little shocked that someone remembered it.

Yes this does bring back memories of when I was in the 4th/5th grade. Though I do like "Tender Kisses" better....
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

This was a good album. My favorite track from it is a song called, "Love Me".

That's probably my second favorite after "This House." music

The singles from this album were all good:

1. Save Your Love [1990] (R&B #7)
2. This House [1990] (#7, Pop #3)
3. This Time Make It Funky [1991] (#31) - Something of a guilty pleasure for me
4. Tender Kisses [1991] (#1)
5. Love Me [1992] (#2)

That's pretty cool. I'm always geeked when I interact with people behind the songs I love (especially the ones I grew up on).

I used to be a huge Mickey Mouse Club fan [remember The Party, anyone?] back when Disney Channel was a premium subscription cable channel (like HBO) and Tracie performed "This House" live back in 1991 or so.

"Love Me" was my jam, too.

I liked "This Time Make It Funky" A LOT. I like that hip-house sound on it.

Last I heard of her was her comeback album 1999's Tracie. I bought the single "It's All About You (And Not About Me)."

There was a feature on Lee Bailey's Radioscope around the time of that album's release and they did a little bio/follow-up on her circa 1999-2000. Pretty much, she wanted to be an ordinary girl and do ordinary things. They asked her in the piece why she didn't capitalize on the success of Make The Difference or do the Brandy/Monica/Aaliyah thing and keep the franchise going. She just didn't want to. She went back to Iowa, attended regular high school, had regular friends and kept a low profile.

I hear she did some modeling and some stage productions, but that's about it. Haven't heard much after 1999-2000.
