How did it take me until now to discover Julie Driscoll??? this is like the most grooviest chick in the universe. she's an icy, witchy, campy, funky, delicious confection...i LOVE stumbling across this kind of retro treasure.
oh my GOD: (the only other person who can get away with that hat and those moves is PRINCE. ) (dig that crazy skat at the end ) (interpretive dance goodness at 3:05) (AHA, this is the version they use for AbFab!) i'm LOVING those keyboards too, by the way. i can't get enough of this kind of swinging mod '60s-a-go-go sound. MORE PLEASE! | |

Why? Because you don't listen to me ...
...I'm familiar with her through her collaborations with organist Brian Auger & The Trinity. You have to check carefully because she's not on all their albums. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 [Edited 10/21/08 13:43pm] "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. Being a Hammond B-3 freak I know i've mentioned Brian Auger before... ...Maybe I didn't emphasize Jools enough. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn.
