Love Sun....one of my fave quotes EVER on "the Org" was the person (sorry don't remember who) said of this track that they loved it because the music box intro let them know "that the funk was COMING". LMAO. So true.
Props to Byron & the boys....one of many great jams outta Ohio. Funk Is It's Own Reward

It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

Everytime I go on a vinyl dig,I always look for albums by Sun but they're hard to find My favorite song by them is "Radiation Level" plus the slow jams "I Had A Choice" and "Baby I Confess".

Hometown boys! it was nothing to be seeing these guys around town at McDonalds or something. Growing up in Dayton, Ohio was a treat. You saw the groups everywhere. Rumor has it that there were 13 groups signed to major labels from the Dayton area. It was nothing to see Larry Troutman walking up Salem Avenue, poppin his collar. I believe Byron Byrd lives in London. Kym Yancey has an insurance business in Dayton. Don Taylor still gigs around the area.
My favorite Sun jam is Reaction Satisfaction. Upper persuasion for the lower invasion

Yes they are. The only one i have is Radiation Level. I like sun is here, wanna make love(which introduced me to the band when i was a little boy), conscience, and light me up on the yellow album. Funkenstein knows about that yellow vinyl album. Don't laugh at my funk

As far as I know, these are all the albums Sun ever released (NOTE: The first album was released with two different covers, one has a close-up of a sweaty woman, and the other one has just the yellow 'Sun' logo in the middle of a red & orange cover)
Here's what the 'infamous' ( ) orange album looks like, [Edited 10/17/08 14:57pm] It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

My favorite is prolly 'Sunburn' (the one with the ladies sunbathing on the cover). You should definitely look for that one It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.
