Honestly, I felt the exact same way. My friend and I could not believe she was still pulling guys out of the audience and we were very ho hum through the first half of it. We got into during the second half because of the guy and the folks in our section made it fun but you’re right, overall it’s quite played. I think she and the girls spent entirely too much time ‘picking’ a guy. It felt like 20 minutes of them walking around with their finger in their mouth. The segment could have been better if at least one dancer was actually appealing. Yes I admit all of that teasing Janet does to the guy is fun to watch, can't go wrong with that.lol And the way the crowd gets into it is the best, but MEH.

It's very ho-hum. Especially if you've been use to seeing it in her shows for atleast 14 years = 4 tours. [Edited 10/30/08 13:43pm]

Janet Jackson Officially Cancels Mohegan Sun Show
By ERIC R. DANTON | Courant Rock Critic 12:03 PM EDT, October 30, 2008 Janet Jackson won't be rescheduling her "postponed" Oct. 11 performance at Mohegan Sun, the casino announced Thursday morning, which officially makes it a cancellation. Jackson pulled out of a string of performances earlier this month, citing "migraine-associated vertigo." She resumed her tour Oct. 16, but suffered another setback of sorts this week when opening act LL Cool J bailed on the rest of the road trip because of "scheduling conflicts." Refunds for the Mohegan show are available at point of purchase.

Ellie said: Take away seats at the side for the stage, but surely all the floor seats make up for that compared to sports games.
http://www.palacenet.com/...cs_map.pdf End stage seating chart for the venue. Everything behind the stage and, to a certain degree, beside the stage, is not sold for a typical concert. It's pretty clear you can't fit all those people on the floor. Also, subtract the floor seats removed for the catwalk and the seats in the lower bowl that are not put on sale because of obstruction from her VIP box and capacity was probably about 12k. It's the same for every venue of this size. [Edited 10/31/08 5:52am]

i guess i don't get why people care how many tickets someone sells.
i went to the meadowlands show and it was half empty. so what? did it alter my enjoyment? no. did it affect the great time i had? no. so who cares? i'm always amazed at the emphasis the common folks (us) put on someone's record sales and ticket sales. you ain't gettin' any of the money earned from those sales...so who cares? An individualist is a man who lives for his own sake and by his own mind; he neither sacrifices himself to others nor sacrifices others to himself...
