A Taste Of Honey

I just bought their self-titled album the other day and damn! They are baaad. Before I bought this album, the only songs of theirs I knew of were "Sukiyaki" and "Boogie Oogie Oogie". Their whole self-titled album is great though, from start to finish. There's not even one bad song on there. I don't understand how it is that they are just labeled as one hit wonders, they were very talented.

Rescue Me

Sukiyaki

World Spin

You

Disco Dancin

Sky High
"And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ heart

"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always heart

Yeah, that self-titled debut album is great.I love the songs "World Spin","Disco Dancing","This Love Of Ours","You" and of course "Boogie Oogie Oogie".

The second album 'Another Taste' is also superb. My favs are "Do It Good" and "Dance".

I grew up on this album cool
although it had already aged by
the time I was born
(Harle... add this to
my "mama's crate" list
over there)

I grew up digging the HELL
out of the hump of "Distant"
and "If We Loved"

man that album is everything love
my fav is the closer
"You're In Good Hands"

Their record company messed up the singles though. They released "You're In Good Hands" as the second single and it went nowhere.I don't think it was an appropriate follow-up to "Boogie Ooogie Oogie".These should have been the singles,in this order:

"Boogie Oogie Oogie"
"Disco Dancin"
"If We Loved"

Three strong singles right there lol

sidebar: I thought it was
cool as hell, the fact that
Janice is Raphael Saadiq's
big sister...

the love for bass runs
in his blood I see
plus they had an older
brother, "Spanky", who
played guitar also right?

yeah great single
prolly just bad timing...
they wanted to show
they could do the balladry too
I guess... labels do fuck it up though
90% of the time

love "Disco Dancin" too...
OMG... the chorus, that
chime in the background
I LIVE!!! lol

there really isn't one
bad song on this album!!!
given "Boogie..." was
worn the fuck out
it's still a hot record...

A+++++ for the album

I still have yet to get into
the other albums, I will see
if I can dig em up & listen
to what ya'll listenin to in here wink
